The Wrigley Building is a skyscraper located at 400–410 North Michigan Avenue on Chicago’s Near North Side. It is located on the Magnificent Mile directly across Michigan Avenue from the Tribune Tower. It was built to house the corporate headquarters of the Wrigley Company.

The DuSable Bridge is a bascule bridge that carries Michigan Avenue across the main stem of the Chicago River in downtown Chicago, Illinois, United States. The bridge was proposed in the early 20th century as part of a plan to link Chicago’s south side and north side parks with a grand boulevard.

The Trump International Hotel and Tower is a skyscraper condo-hotel in downtown Chicago, Illinois. The building, named after businessman and later U.S. president Donald Trump, was designed by architect Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. Bovis Lend Lease built the 98-story structure, which reaches a height of 1,388 feet (423.2 m) including its spire, its roof topping out at 1,171 feet (357 m). It is next to the main branch of the Chicago River, with a view of the entry to Lake Michigan beyond a series of bridges over the river. The building received publicity when the winner of the first season of The Apprentice reality television show, Bill Rancic, chose to manage the construction of the tower over managing a new Trump National Golf Course and resort in Los Angeles.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a war memorial in Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois, dedicated on November 11, 2005. It features a rectangular fountain basin and stone wall inscribed with the names of those who died during the Vietnam War.

The twin buildings across the river look like giant corn cobs, don’t they? Their circular and Designed by Bertrand Goldberg in the 60s, they were supposed to incentive residents to stay in the city instead of moving out into the suburbs.

The Dearborn Street Bridge over the Chicago River was built in 1962. It connects the Near North Side with “The Loop.” The American Institute of Steel Construction honored the bridge with the 1963 “Most Beautiful Steel Bridge” award in the Movable Span category.

The Tribune Tower is a neo-Gothic skyscraper located at 435 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Built between 1923 and 1925, the international design competition for the tower became an historic event in 20th century architecture.

Stop At: William P. Fahey Bridge, Chicago, IL 60611, USA
Look ahead, at the next bridge. The Columbus Drive Bridge can’t be called historic, since it was built just in 1982. In fact, this bridge is the youngest river-crossing bridge. It’s unique in a couple of different ways. For one, it uses box girders to span the river, rather than trusses. This bridge is also the first to have its trunnions set back, so that pedestrians can walk below it at river level.
