Venture north over the Golden Gate Bridge to an isolated canyon filled with ancient coastal redwood trees, also known as Muir Woods National Monument. Enjoy solitude and peace, through the cool, moist air, as you stroll through 1000-year-old trees towering 260 feet tall. Experience the awe and wonder as you are treated through Northern California’s signature fog, while you wander in and out of the Mother Nature’s redwood alleyways. The canopy of coastal redwoods soaring above will stimulate all of your senses as you journey through a piece of ancient California history. You will never forget the crisp, fresh redwood fragrance that will surround you on your journey to the majestic Muir Woods National Monument. Day 2: San Francisco Zoo
Stop At: San Francisco Zoo, Sloat Boulevard at 45th Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94132
Included in your package is admission to the San Francisco Zoo, which is one of the largest in Northern California. You’ll find more than 2,000 animals, including exotic, endangered, and rescued individuals, with peaceful gardens at the edge of the Pacific Ocean. An urban oasis, the San Francisco zoo features Asian and black rhinos, giraffes, big cats, apes, gorillas, monkeys and much more, including an interactive feeding and petting zoo for kids. (Transport to the zoo not included. San Francisco Zoo hours of operation are 10:00am – 5:00pm daily. 3 hours visit average time)
