Stop At: Ward Cove, Ward Cove, Alaska
Once home to North America’s largest pulp mill, this rustic site is home to our mooring dock. As you view the remnants of the site both as you board the vessel and as we cruise past by water, we’ll share some of its history.

Guests will view the collection of CCC era 14 hand-carved Tlingit & Haida totem poles & Alaska Native clan house in full panorama from the water. Our crew members are happy to snap a photo of you & your traveling companions in front of this beautiful cultural site.

Stop At: Guard Island Lighthouse, South Point Higgins Road, Ketchikan, AK 99901
Built in 1904 and still in operation today, Guard Island Lighthouse is perched on and island on the entrance to Clarence Straits. We’ll pause in front of the lighthouse, so you can enjoy panoramic views of this landmark and the seascape beyond. If you have a USLHS passport, don’t forget to ask for a stamp!

Pass By: Tongass National Forest, Ketchikan, AK
Throughout the tour, views the Tongass National Forest, the world’s largest temperate rainforest, will be available to you from the water. On the return trip from the lighthouse, we’ll follow the shoreline of the neighboring island of Gravina, where you’ll have a chance to view old growth forest, or trees that have never been harvested.
Stop At: Vallenar Rock, Alaska, USA
Vallenar Point is a favorite place for us to spy harbor seals or seal lions while on our tour. When the ocean conditions are favorable to do so, we’ll pause to provide a chance to view these marine mammals.

This island is rumored by locals to have claimed more shipwrecks than any other island in Alaska. Your Alaskan captain will explain what makes this island such a navigational hazard for mariners who are unfamiliar with our waters.
