Itinerary
Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu is the biggest cultural and educational centre in South India. It is one of the most visited city by tourists. The city boasts of temples, beaches and centres of historical and cultural significance. The best way to experience the city would be to enjoy a homemade meal with a local family over interesting conversations.
The experience will start with a home-based cooking class guided by home-chef Joyadrita. Dishes may include Aloo Posto (cubed potatoes are stir-fried in powered poppy seeds), Later, Fish Fry (Bhetki fillets are marinated in simple spices, coated with bread crumbs and fried), you will also prepare Chingri Bhapa (prawns marinated in mustard-poppy seeds-curd-coconut paste and steamed). After this interesting cooking experience, you can move towards the dining area and relish an amazing Bengali meal. This will be a multi-course meal and we would suggest coming on a fairly empty stomach so that you can do justice to the meal.
The entire experience will last for about 2-3 hours.
Please Note – This is not a professional cooking class but an opportunity to interact with a local and learn the tips and tricks of Indian cooking.
