Explore & admire the monuments of Old Delhi, ie Jama Masjid (The Friday Mosque) is a congregational mosque commissioned by the fifth Mughal ruler Shah Jahan. Who was a noted patron of Islamic architecture whose most famous work is the Taj Mahal. It is the largest mosque in India & Due to its magnificence size, it is often regarded as the apotheosis of Indian mosque design.

Enjoy a ride on a rickshaw to one of the oldest markets of Delhi. Old Delhi’s main chaotic wholesale market offering full medieval bazaar experience. During the reign of Shah Jahan, there was a tree-lined canal running through its centre, reflecting the moon. Hence, the name “Chandni Chowk” came to being which means “Moonlight Square”.

Next visit Humayun’s tomb which is a world heritage site & final resting place of the second Mughal Emperor Humayun. It is the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent. This splendid piece of architecture was commissioned by Humayun’s chief consort Empress Bega Begum in the year 1565 and is one of the very few structures that used red sandstone on such a massive scale at that time.

Finally, visit Qutub Minar (a world heritage site). The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak and later completed by his successor Iltutmish. The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture & has survived the ravages of time impressively. This great masterpiece is surrounded by lush green gardens, which is an ideal leisurely place for visitors. Each of the 5 storeys and tower of Qutub Minar has unique designs.
