Stop At: Mali Ston, Mali Ston, Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Dalmatia
On the way from Dubrovnik, licensed guide will take you trough history of Dubrovnik Republic and role of Ston and Mali Ston. Upon arrival we will take you to Mali Ston bay, one of most famous oyster farming sites in the world. Ostrea Edulis (European oyster) is specie of oyster farmed only here. It used to be wide spread but over harvesting and disease took its tool. We will take you to our oyster farm in Mali Ston bay and teach you everything about Ostrea Edulis. You will board our boat Bogutovac and we will take you for scenery ride to our working boat where we prepare oysters for tasting. While onboard we will serve you mussels buzzara, a traditional summer dish in Dubrovnik. Oyster farmers will tell you everything about authentic oyster farming process and the way it used to be. We will open oysters for you to taste and enjoy them with some white wine in the best way possible. Directly from the sea with a splash of lemon.
